On Sunday 16th October 2011, several VIPs, dignitaries and celebrities converged at the Lancaster Hotel in London to honour the best in the Asian catering industry. The host for the Asian Curry Awards Ceremony was the Sky News Presenter, Lukwesa Burak. Other guests involved Liberal Democrat MP, Simon Hughes, Lord Sheikh and Saad Ghazi, the honorary president of the Federation of Bangladeshi Caterers. Mr Abdul Rob has now won his second consecutive award. Last year he received an award for 'Outstanding Restaurateur of the Year', whilst this year he obtained a commendation for his restaurant, Tiger Garden, which has been highly commended as the best Indian restaurant in the South East of England. Mr Rob was applauded not only for his catering prowess but also for his ability to inspire the next generation.
